Smut Peddler on Kickstarter

A 350-page anthology of erotic comics mostly by women (that is, each story has at least one female creator); the full contributors list is on the Kickstarter page. You can use the Kickstarter to pre-order and so contribute to the big pile of money that will be divvied up amongst these talented comics creators.

Phoenix, Hannigan, and the rice pudding…. | The Forbidden Planet International Blog Log

“Draw us a recipe. That’s the brief we sent to a slew of our favorite comic artists; each week, we’re thrilled to present what they sent back. The resulting works of art are fantastic, beautiful, hilarious, thoughtful, informative, and often all of the above — and they prove that a recipe doesn’t just have to be words on paper. “

Second volume of the Gastrophobia series.

Another fine example of Kickstarter being used as a pre-ordering system!

Templar, Arizona is an amazing alternative-history comic by Spike Trotman, who so far as I can tell is some kind of genius. She describes it as alternative history, but this is not a what-if story. The nearest thing I can think of to compare it to is Carla Sped McNeil’s Finder—there is the same sense of a bunch of people getting into scrapes against a background of subcultures and organizations weirdly but plausibly different from our own; the difference is that Anvard looks to be in the distant future whereas Templar is in an alternative present.

Guys, I have a kickstarter campaign!
If you got your boyfriend or girlfriend flowers or jewelry or candy for Valentine’s day, they’re probably pretty angry at you right now for messing up… but you can make it up to them by preordering Gastrophobia volume 2: The gift that keeps on giving!
And I’ve been updating again, so check that out too.
